Greg Rakestraw Joins HomeTown Sports

(Noblesville, Indiana) - Veteran announcer and sports personality, Greg Rakestraw, has joined HomeTown Sports as Vice President of Programming and Content. He will be responsible for managing and directing the growth of high school, small college and Indiana based professional sports productions for HomeTown Sports Indiana, a 24/7 state wide cable based network to be launched this summer. "HomeTown has enjoyed working with Greg as a sports personality for the last 2 years", said Rick Vanderwielen HomeTown's founder and President, "His passion and knowledge of local sports is unparalleled." Greg is a 1998 graduate of the University of Indianapolis and is the radio voice of IUPUI Jaguar basketball and the lead play-by-play announcer for the UIndy Television Network. HomeTown Sports is a division of HomeTown Television Corporation, which owns and operates 2 - leased channels on the Comcast Cable system. HomeTown and it's sister company, Webstream Productions of Indianapolis, produce 550+ sports productions airing on television, internet and on-demand.

  1. Having local racing available from Anderson Speedway and the Speedrome is fantastic! Great Job. It is so fun to watch with my kids and be able to tell them, "We can go to those races some night."

  2. What happened to Channel 19 (on Comcast cable)? It is not available anymore. Having been a resident of Noblesville for 15 years, we enjoyed watching local sports and other programming in and around our community.
